What is a Tech Concierge?

Like a traditional concierge, who knows the landmarks, services, and shortcuts of a city, a Tech Concierge can share their knowledge of devices, apps, and platforms to help others.

Q&A

Who should apply?

This role is for young adults who want to make a difference while acquiring professional experience. If you’re between 19 and 25, interested in technology, and willing to serve with kindness, you’ll fit right in as a Tech Concierge.

Do I need to live in a specific place?

Yes - because Tech Training and Support sessions are in person, we are currently welcoming applicants from the greater Huntsville, Alabama, area. As SilverTech grows, we’ll recruit in other cities across the U.S. If you’re outside Huntsville, you can still fill out this interest form to be notified when we launch near you.

What are the education requirements? Do I need to be a tech expert or have a college degree?

You don’t need a college degree, but a high school diploma or GED is required. What matters most is basic familiarity with everyday devices, curiosity for technology, and the commitment to guide others.

I’m under 18, can I apply?

The minimum age to apply is 19, and this requirement isn’t flexible. But if you’re younger, you can still get involved. You can fill out the Interest Form to recommend SilverTech Society to a 55+ adult in your life who could benefit from in-person, community-building tech support, or follow us on Social Media to find shareable tutorials.

If this position sounds like a good fit to you,
we’d love to meet you!
